Admission to the SNES MBA program
The Application Form for admission can be downloaded from the IMSAR website (www.snesimsar.org) or can be obtained in person by visiting our campus at Kunnamangalam, Kozhikode. Duly filled in application form along with attested copy of KMAT / CAT/CMAT score card and other certificates should reach us or before the last date fixed for receipt of application for the management quota seats of the Institute.
We charge an application fee is Rs.500/- payable by cash or DD in favor of ‘SNES INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES AND RESEARCH’ payable at Calicut. For admission to the seats under the University’s merit quota, the candidate should apply to the University of Calicut, when the notification for admission to MBA is published.
MBA classes are expected to start by August, every year, in compliance with the Academic Calendar of the University of Calicut.
A candidate who has passed any Degree Course of the University of Calicut or any other university recognized by the University of Calicut, as equivalent, with a minimum of 50% marks is eligible for admission to the MBA program. For OBC and OEC candidates the cut-off is 45% marks and for SC/ST a “pass” is sufficient. Besides, as per the recent guidelines issued by Calicut University, with effect from 2017-18, the eligibility for admission to the SNES MBA will be based on KMAT, CAT and CMAT entrance examinations.
The final selection will be made as per the rules of the University of Calicut, after conducting Group Discussion and Personal Interview, as stipulated.
As stipulated in the regulations of Calicut University 50% of the seats shall be filled from the list supplied by the University (Government quota) and the remaining 50% shall be filled from the management quota based purely on merit. The Government Quota shall be filled from the merit list made available by the University of Calicut observing the instruction thereon. If the stipulated number of candidates are not made available by the University, the candidates in the merit list prepared by the management shall be admitted keeping in mind the closing date fixed for admission.

SNES understands that a student’s socioeconomic background could have an impact on University attendance. We hence offer need based scholarships to students who are facing financial problems or who don’t have enough money to continue their studies. Meritorious students who have done exceptionally well in both their undergraduate class and the common entrance exams will be eligible to apply for these scholarships.
